About

From duo to trio.

The MØVEMENT is an electronic act from Västerås, Sweden, making melodic progressive house with emotional depth: spacious synths, clean drums, atmospheric textures and builds that take their time. Ambient and downtempo colours add room to breathe, and touches of progressive trance give it drive, without ever turning into festival EDM.

It began as the creative project of producers Jonas Rahl and Markus Marrow. Jonas shapes the sound design, the electronic arrangements and the rhythmic foundation. Markus writes, builds the melodic structures and develops the concepts behind each release.

Introspection, movement, distance, memory and night-time energy.

With Elin Marrow joining as vocalist and front person, The MØVEMENT changed from an abstract production project into an act with a voice and a face. Her vocals carry tracks like Until We Fade (Quiet Exit) and Paper Walls, while instrumentals like Axis and Reflex keep the focus on atmosphere, drive and sound design. Elin also continues her own solo career.

Singles like Axis, Västerås, Hemkänsla, Until We Fade (Quiet Exit), Reflex, Paper Walls and Route 73 came together on the first full album, Northern Drift.

The MØVEMENT is an AI music project, developed under Hidden Layer Records. Its music and visuals are made with AI tools, but every track, image and video starts with a concept and is shaped through many rounds of creative work, from the first idea to the final edit.
