Northern Drift
Northern Drift is the first full album by The MØVEMENT: the moment the act stopped being a series of singles and visual experiments and became one coherent body of work, with a clear sound and direction.
It brings together the singles released since Axis with new album tracks, moving between instrumental progressive house and vocal electronic songs with Elin Marrow. The title fits the journey: travelling, shifting, breaking loose, searching for a direction and slowly finding a course of your own.

The making of the album
It started with Axis
Axis, Västerås and Hemkänsla began as early concepts: blueprints for a sound built on melody, space and a clear progressive build. Released one by one, they became the foundation the album grew from.
From duo to trio
Until We Fade (Quiet Exit) was the turning point. With Elin Marrow as featured vocalist, The MØVEMENT found a voice and a face, and showed it could work as an emotional vocal progressive house act as well as an instrumental one.
Instrumental and vocal
The album balances both sides. Instrumentals like Reflex lean into the hypnotic, club-minded side; vocal tracks like Paper Walls, Patterns and Thin Ice add the human layer.
A first chapter
Northern Drift doesn't feel like a collection of separate tracks, but like a first chapter in which the identity of The MØVEMENT is set: modern, emotional, refined and cinematic.
